A 3mm polyester rope 100% made from recycled plastic PET bottles. This newly developed polyester fiber is called rPET (recycled PET). The technical properties of this recycled polyester are comparable to a ‘regular’ polyester rope. This rope is produced with 12 strands.

Advantages of Polyester Rope
Polyester yarns and ropes are high-quality products with higher abrasion and UV resistant scores than ppm (polypropylene). Please note that polyester has a higher weight than PPM.

What's the deal with Recycled plastics (rPET)
rPET yarn is ready for the upcoming more stringent EU regulations regarding the maintenance of a low carbon footprint. But recycling PET doesn’t solve the fact that once plastic is made, it is here to stay for a long time. Finding a new life for these already-made products, however, it is a step in the right direction.
