Nylon, PPM or rPET: which material fits your project?

Our dog leash ropes are made from high-quality Nylon, PPM (polypropylene) or recycled rPET yarns. Each material has its own feel and properties, so the right choice depends on what matters most to you.

Nylon dog leash rope

Our most popular range, with a soft, comfortable hand feel that makes it pleasant to hold for long walks. Nylon is also slightly elastic, which helps absorb sudden pulls from an active dog.

PPM dog leash rope

Made from polypropylene, PPM rope is noticeably lighter in the hand than nylon of the same diameter, while still offering excellent strength. It's also resistant to mould and rot and easy to keep clean, which makes it a practical choice for wet or muddy conditions.

rPET dog leash rope

Woven from recycled polyester yarns, rPET rope combines strong abrasion resistance with a lower environmental footprint. A good option if you want a durable leash made from recycled material without compromising on strength.

Choosing a diameter

6 mm rope gives a slimmer, lighter leash suited to small and medium dogs. 8 mm is a versatile middle ground for everyday walking. 10 mm offers the thickest, most substantial feel in the hand and suits larger or stronger dogs, or anyone who prefers a heavier-duty leash.
